Principal's Message

Principal Myra Bramlett

We are so excited that you are visiting us via the internet. Welcome to Geiger Elementary where we believe “It takes teamwork to make the dream work!” Parents and the community are valuable resources to the children and faculty of Geiger Elementary.  Working together with our parents and the community, we are committed to providing our students with a safe, nurturing, academically challenging and diverse learning environment that will develop hard working and productive citizens. Our students are enjoying many successes as a result of their hard work. As a staff, we are proud of our positive and nurturing learning environment where students work toward achieving academic excellence. Student achievement continues to be the top priority as our teams of teachers collaborate and design lessons that provide differentiated instruction and utilize data to meet the needs of each student.  Teachers also focus on the uniqueness of each student to improve instruction and address all learning styles. We also utilize the latest technology, such as interactive panels, iPads, chrome books, Nexus tablets, and kindles to maximize our students’ learning.

In addition to providing a rigorous academic curriculum, Geiger continues to focus on the development of the total child by implementing mentoring and educational programs such as the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, Geiger PEARLS, G.E.M.S. and Gents, Chorus, Art Club, Miss Geiger Pageant, Beta Club and multiple award programs.

At Geiger, the students also benefited from the seventh year of implementing a PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions Supports) initiative, which strongly supports positive social skills and a reduction of behavior problems. Our teachers believe in teaching the whole child through life skills and lifelong guidelines, community building activities, and emphasizing the “positives.”  Our students participated in numerous activities throughout the year that promoted the positives and the life skills of responsibility, caring, and initiative such as, Student Data Notebooks, Reading Counts, and Pennies for Patients, Jump Rope for Heart, visiting the local nursing home and PBIS Celebrations.

It is our hope that the collective efforts of parents, teachers, and the community will enable students to reach their highest potential and display that “Tiger Pride” of Geiger Elementary in all areas of their lives.

Please contact us if you ever have a question or concern so that we may work together for the benefit of our students.
