Dear Geiger Elementary School Parents, Guardians and Students:

Welcome back to the 2023-2024 academic year! I am Dr. Roberta Heyward. I have the pleasure and honor of being the proud Principal of Geiger Elementary School. The 2023-2024 school term will be the start of my 2nd year as the principal of Geiger Elementary School and 21st year in education. Geiger has a rich tradition of academic excellence and achievement. I look forward to partnering with you to ensure that all students are celebrated and supported. Together, we will ensure that we continue the tradition of excellence and community that make Geiger Elementary School a special place.
 
My priorities as the principal of Geiger Elementary School will be to challenge our students academically, socially, and guide them toward positive choices to develop a student body of good character. My goals for the 2023-2024 school year are to; (1) increase student achievement by developing the whole child, (2) build a collaborative culture, (3) strengthen parent involvement.
 
While I am honored to be the principal of the school, I view myself as a partner with each of you within this collaborative effort to educate our students. Geiger Elementary School is bursting with great potential to far exceed expectations and produce learners who refuse to be average and demonstrate that they are college and career ready.
